Introducing our prefabricated Newspan® bridge products, which made their debut in 1997. These innovative bridge modules combine the best characteristics and working properties of structural concrete and steel.

We offer bridge superstructures constructed of new, high strength ASTM A588 grade 50 weathering steel. Weathering steel can be painted, but in most conditions paint is not necessary. The steel will naturally oxidize to a dark rust color and remain so providing an inconspicuous addition to the landscape.

Newspan® - SPECIFY IT!

We will install the superstructure, or deliver the pre-fabricated superstructure module(s) ready to install such that the concrete deck may be poured with minimal further work. In some cases, we will provide an all steel deck, eliminating the need for concrete.

Skip Gibbs Company routinely stocks several hundred thousand dollars worth of ready to go ASTM A588 gr. 50 weathering steel.

Eco-friendly, durable, very strong and equally attractive, the entire Newspan® product line has been designed for repeated, heavy loading, unlike many prefabricated bridge designs.

It is not uncommon to have many questions as to how the the entire process works using our Newspan® bridges. We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions from selecting the most appropriate model for the job, shipping the unit(s) to the jobsite to installing and completing the bridge.
